Thank you for your Support 27-07-20

Ella came to us in March this year, being such a sweet 2-year-old French Bulldog, we knew it wouldn’t be long before she found a happy home.  During her initial veterinary assessment with us she was diagnosed with a skin disorder and luxating patella in both back legs, which is when a kneecap dislocates out of its normal place.

She must have been in such discomfort, so we wasted no time in ensuring she received the treatment she needed and we were able to do this with no delay thanks to your donations and continued support.

The vets kindly offered to perform Ella's surgery at a discounted rate of £2,000 for both legs, the operation has been a huge success and Ella was able to undertake most of her recovery in her new home.  Ella is now fully recovered living a normal, pain-free life, running and playing like a young dog should.

How do your donations help?

Making a donation to RSPCA Scarborough & District Branch means that we can continue as a local charity to ensure all funds raised are also used locally to support animals in need.

These are just some of the ways we are able to provide support locally

  • issue welfare vouchers to offer financial assistance to animals in need in our local area
  • microchipping and neutering
  • rehabilitating and rehoming animals
