Oxfordshire Branch

Mika is desperate to find a home - Please help!

Mika is a German Shepherd x Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

At only 1 year old she has found herself in private kennel boarding with the RSPCA, but since she's been with us, her normally playful and trusting behaviour has started to change.

This is not un-heard of in situations like this. She is a young dog and the stress can have an effect on how she views other dogs (those around her are also somewhat stressed). Even with the best care we can offer, including regular walks and socialisation, she is becoming a handful.

Mika is a lovely dog and still very sweet with her human handlers, but is becoming reactive towards other dogs - she was not like this before going into kennels! She is a big girl with lots of energy and therefore needs someone with experience of GSDs or big dogs.

Because of her playful puppy-like nature, she can't go with cats and is better off being an only dog. We'd advise no small children either.

She really is a lovely young dog and deserves better than she's been given in life so far.

Mika is of course spayed and has had worming and flea treatment and regular vet checks.

If you would like to know more about Mika and maybe meet her, please get in touch as soon as possible. You can view Mika's profile on the Find a Pet page.
