Oxfordshire Branch

Adopting a pet from the Oxfordshire Branch

The Oxfordshire Branch takes in many animals who have been rescued from cruelty and neglect but sadly also animals who have simply been abandoned.  All our animals are looking for someone to offer them a new home, to be a friend and look after them. In return a pet will offer fun, friendship and loyalty.  Please take a few moments to review our Adoption Pledge here.

Our Paws & Claws rabbit centre provides an idyllic location for our animals to enjoy life whilst waiting for their new homes.

All of our animals are fully vaccinated, neutered, flea treated and wormed before they leave us for their new homes.  All cats, dogs and rabbits are also microchipped for your peace of mind.

We make every effort to ensure all of our animals find the most suitable forever homes.  We invest time and effort to ensure everything goes well and each animal is settled into the best loving happy home to enjoy the remainder of their lives.  We provide ongoing support and advice throughout the adoption process and if required we are always ready to assist with any future concerns.

We always welcome any donations towards an animal, but we do have to charge a minimum rehoming fee to help cover some of the costs for neutering, vaccinations and microchipping and we always try to keep our fees as low as possible. In 2022 we spend over £31,000 on animals is our care.

Standard Adoption Fees generally start from just £70 for Rabbits. Fees for Cats and Dogs can often vary depending on age and breed, but because all of our animals are unique we try to reflect that in any of the fees we may charge.

Generally cats will start from around £125 perhaps for a more elderly or sedate pet, whilst a young, happy, lively kitten could be from £225.  Dogs will vary usually depending on type, size and age, range from £300-£450 for puppies.  Please ask for details on any specific animal you are interested in.

If you would like to apply for one of our pets, please complete the Perfect Match form below and email it to info@rspcaoxford.org.uk
