The Manchester & Salford Branch of the RSPCA is a separately registered charity from the National RSPCA and has been running since 1963.
We rehabilitate and rehome cats, rabbits, rats, reptiles and guinea pigs who have been rescued by the National RSPCA inspectorate. As a small charity we only have 3 paid members of animal staff (1 full time, 2 part time) and a branch manager.
As well as rehoming rescued animals we promote responsible pet ownership via a range of events in the community. Our charity also offers an advice and support line to the public via telephone and email.
It costs £30,000 a month to run the branch; we receive no government funding and rely on your donations to help locally rescued animals.
