A collaboration between RSPCA Mallydams Wood and STRANDLINER. Saturday 23rd March 9.30am - 11.00am, Meet next to Smugglers Inn, Pett Level Road TN35 4EH. Join us to clean the beach and help make it safe for wildlife and visitors.

Dress warmly, bring gardening gloves and litter pickers if you have them.

If you would like to take in the MCS survey please arrive at 9.00am for instructions.

Join us for a sneaky peak into the night time world of these well loved British mammals.  The evening will begin in the Education Centre with an insight into the lives of our furry friends. We will venture out at sunset to the badger watching benches where we will quietly watch and listen for the creatures of the night.

To book please email names of participants and ages of children attending, a contact name and number to anna.herrieven2@rspca.org.uk

The cost is £2.50 per head payable on the night or you could take part in a sponsored silent watch and come along for free. Email Anna for a sponsor form.  All participants will receive a certificate and a gift for funds raised.

Please be aware that we will be sitting in the woodland beyond nightfall in silence for approximately 1 hour. Ensure you wrap up warmly in dark clothes, avoid aftershave or perfume before attending and please don't bring snacks to eat during the badger watch as rustling can disturb the event. Please bring a torch.

Parking is very limited so we strongly advise car sharing if attending with friends.

Try out the Rabbit Run and enjoy the Spring flowers.  Tearoom open.

FREE EVENT no booking required

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: SHUTTLE BUS FOR OPEN WOODS

Due to limited parking we have NO PARKING on sute during Open Woods. Please park at the main Hastings Country Park car park (1st car park, Lower Coastguards Lane TN35 4AB). Parking is £3 per day.

A free shuttle bus runs between the car park and Mallydams Wood every 15 minutes.
