Hull & East Riding Branch

New Ferret Unit Now Open

Freda the ferret is the first ferret to arrive in our newly opened ferret unit. After a year in the planning and the closure of the local ferret rescues the RSPCA Hull & East Riding Branch have opened there doors to abused, neglected & abandoned ferrets from the local area.

Prior to the closure of the ferret rescues we worked closely together to ensure we were ready for our new residents.

We wish to thank Jill & Mick Perry & Ric & Dee from the former East Coast Ferret Rescue for all their support, training & hard work in whipping us into shape.

Fortunately for us Freda is very easy to handle and is a great for showing us the ropes with her lovely gentle temperament.

Audrey one of our volunteers had never handled a ferret before and quickly became enamored to these inquisitive little creatures. We will hopefully have further residents to keep Freda company whilst we endeavor to find her a new home in the near future.
