All of us here at South Yorkshire Animal Centre would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

 Remember, a pet is not just for Christmas!  With this in mind we will not be adopting animals after the 17th December until the 6th January, 2018 unless there are some mitigating circumstances.  However, you will be able to reserve your new pet as usual. 

 Every pet deserves to be more than just a present and Christmas can be a stressful time of year for our pets, with lots of new people to meet, things to sniff and places to explore! It is worth considering whether to wait until after Christmas to bring your new family member home.

 We urge people at all times of year, but especially at Christmas, to carefully consider the long-term commitment required to properly care for a pet, 365 days a year, for 10 – 20 years.
