In many ways you might be led to believe that Twilight is quite an unremarkable cat. She is black and white rather than anything more fluorescent; she is eight years old, which is neither guilt-trippingly old nor heart-stoppingly young; she has an average, lap-shaped build. Were we to judge on looks alone, we might well walk past Twilight without finding our eyes drawn nor our heartstrings tugged in any great way. This, however, would be a grave error. What she lacks in looks, she makes up for with a personality that shines brighter than gold, is softer than rose petals, and more tender than a plucked harp string. If you believe her to be unremarkable, you are not looking close enough. 

Whoever made Twilight did not waste time on superfluities, on superficialities, on looks. They focused on what truly mattered: her loveliness. They tended her sweetness, watered her kindness, shaped her amiability, until it glowed. Their work is a masterpiece. Twilight loves openly, freely and without prejudice; she approaches without trepidation and purrs without inhibition. She loves to be held, cooed over and caressed; she adores being adored - and adores others in turn. There's a lightness to her manner, an ease to her movements, as if she has never been weighed down by the stresses of the world, as if the purpose of the world itself is simply is to wrap its arms around her and wait for the purr. Maybe it is. 

Unremarkable? Not quite…
