Donations & Fundraising
The RSPCA Blackpool & North Lancashire Branch is a self funding, independently run, non profit registered charity. It costs us an awful amount a day to run and whilst we get some funding from the National RSPCA we rely heavily on public donations and the generosity of the community to keep the doors of our animal centre open.
As you can imagine it is very costly to keep the branch running, so all fundraising activities and donations are vital to our existence. If you'd like to make a donation to the Branch please contact us via email, phone, post or by social media.
We receive no Government funding at all. We couldn’t possibly raise all that money ourselves so we are extremely grateful to our wonderful volunteers and supporters who go out and fundraise on our behalf.
There are many ways in which people can donate or raise funds for the animal centre...
We have our own Amazon Wishlist List which can be viewed by going to https://www.amazon.co.uk/registry/wishlist/38R2PCEQH71I7/ref=cm_sw_r_fa_ws_t2_3LLVzbC1HWEYW The list includes various things that the centre is in need of, such as cat scratching posts, indestructible dog toys and food. Our wish list makes it easy for people to donate items direct to the centre from the comfort of their own home by selecting the item they wish to donate. Once they have paid the item is then delivered directly to the animal centre.
A new development for the branch is our auction page which can be viewed by going to: http://rspca-auctions.co.uk/. On here, you can view a wide range of high quality goods and make a bid for them. This is a great way to help raise funds for the animal centre and even better for those who are avid Ebay fans!
Donate via your PayPal Account by visiting our Homepage ( and just click the pink donate button) this will take you through to PayPal to sign in to your account.
The 4000 Club is a way of donating directly to the care of the centre’s animals. By donating £2 a month you can contribute towards the veterinary costs for the animals. If you are interested in joining please contact the animal centre.
Buy a Brick
At the centre we have a special memorial wall (above) giving people an opportunity to buy a brick in memory of a person or an animal. Anyone who is interested in buying a brick is welcome to apply. Forms are available at the animal centre and we can also email one if requested. One brick costs £25.00 with the option of having the engraving in black or gold.
Kennel/Cat pen Sponsorship
Our kennel and cattery sponsorship scheme is a way in which you as an individual, part of a group or a business can support our animals by sponsoring an animal pen for 12 months. Cat pen sponsorship costs £30 and kennel sponsorship cost £50. In return we will place a certificate bearing your name on the appropriate pen, thanking you for your kind donation. If you are a company we are happy to display details of your company and how people can contact you on your certificate.
Don’t forget that using Gift Aid means that Longview can claim back the tax from the Inland Revenue (currently 25p for every £1 you give). Just imagine what a huge difference that makes when added to all the donations our supporters so generously give.
Thankyou for your continued support.
