Christmas fundraisers

The Newport Animal Centre Christmas Raffle put smiles on the faces of some lucky winners and raised £248 for the animals in our care.

Our Christmas Knees-up Wine and Wiska's made a total of £925 profit. A very successful night with music food and games, it was joint run by one of our animal care assistants, Rhiannon Cox, and volunteer Lisa Davies. Thanks for all your hard work in making it such a good evening.

Sadly the weather didn't co-operate for our Santa Mutt Strutt along the Fourteen Locks Canal in Newport. It was horrible, wet and windy so only a few brave souls turned up with their dogs and the result was £87 raised (it all helps). The dogs didn't seem to mind the weather much and one even jumped in the canal for a swim, getting very mucky!
