    Sponsored dog walk

Sun 19 April from 10:30 AM to 01:00 PMContact: natasha hendersonenquiries@rscpablackpool.org.ukor 01253 703000Terrain A short, circular walk along the River Wyre, a quiet lane, fields and a disused railway line. The walk involves using stiles. Distance Allow approximately up to 1.5 hours to complete the walk.

The walk follows the distinctive green waymarkers. It starts at the board by the Millennium Mosaic and follows the riverside path to Bridge Street and Bonds Bridge. 2.After crossing the bridge turn left along Castle Lane and continue on to Greenhalgh Castle Farm. The castle is on your left just before the farmhouse. Please do not walk up to the Castle as it is private land and the ruins are unsafe.3.Walk through the farmyard, and continue to a stile on your left. After crossing the stile keep to the left hedgerow of the field to another stile. Go over the stile and across the field to another stile, which leads to the former Garstang to Knott-End railway. 4.Follow the old railway until you have crossed the River Wyre. Look for the steps on your left or the access ramp further on the right and walk down to the riverside path and around the cricket field back to the Millennium Mosaic.

Bring your pampered pooches down for this great event, in aid of raising money for the animals at Longview. Children are welcome to participate but must be supervised by an adult.

For a sponsor form please contact the Centre by phone or email on 01253 703000 or enquiries@rspcablackpool.org.uk

All dogs welcome with their owners, children included as long as they are supervised by an adult.

Last year we had a great turn out of people as the weather held and was in our favour. We hope to have the same success this year and get the other charities who came to run stalls back again to make it a bigger event.

Anyone who is interested in holding a stall should contact Natasha at the Animal Centre on 01253 703000 or email us at enquiries@rspcablackpool.org.uk

Registration forms are completed on the day. There are usually around 8-10 catergories but again this will be confirmed at a later date.

Rosettes and prizes can be won as well as our stalls for people to look around whilst they wait for their class.

We have a cake stall, new goods stall, tombola and lots of fun things to keep the family entertained.
