The RSPCA Barnsley & District Branch is a seperately registered branch of the RSPCA. We are primarily responsible for raising funds locally to support our animal welfare work.

We are an animal charity, dedicated to rescue, rehabilitation & rehome animals in the Barnsley area. We endeavour to find all our animals the perfect forever home. We also aim to promote responsible pet ownership by assisting with free or subsidised neutering and microchipping campaigns.

Unfortunately there is no animal centre in Barnsley, so we rely on a team of fantastic fosterers & volunteers to support the work we do in order to change the lives of the local animals in need.

We are hoping that with your continuing help and support we can expand and provide more facilities for the community and local animals in the future.

Please note that we always prioritise animals in need from abuse and neglect situations, brought to us by inspectors,  which may mean that we often cannot take in unwanted pets.
