Kindness at Christmas
We'd like to thank you for all your help, for the thousands of animals who have faced neglect and cruelty, over the festive season.
Last year, we asked animal lovers across England and Wales to promote kindness at Christmas by helping us feed one of the rescued animals in our care.
You helped feed every animal in our centres
You smashed our original target to feed all of the animals in our national centres over the three days of the festive period and we'd like to say a huge thank you!
We can't believe how generous you've all been - it's absolutely amazing! With all your donations we even came close to our second target, to feed all the animal until the end of last year, and we couldn't be more grateful.
With your kindness we were able to help care for every animal as they recover and wait for their new homes over Christmas.
Help us continue our vital work for the rest of the year
Help us continue to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome even more animals who are in desperate need of care.
Kindness has the power to transform an animal’s life.
It’s kindness that helps a nervous dog learn to trust again. And it’s kindness that soothes a horse on their first day in care, frees a frightened deer who’s become tangled in netting, or finds a new family for a cat after they've been out in the cold.
Your act of kindness in buying a meal for a rescued animal can have an incredible effect.
Below, read the real-life stories of some of the animals whose lives have been changed by simple acts of kindness.
