Terry started his working life as reporter on his local newspaper. With a career deep rooted in the media he then went on to work for newspapers across his region, as well as freelancing for national titles such as The Sun, Daily Mirror and Evening Standard.
Terry spent many years sub-editing the TV Times before becoming editor in the 1990s. He took on many roles at the magazine, including being part of a two-man team looking after Independent Television Books, deciding on the editorial content of the magazine, words and pictures, and overseeing editorial staffing and budgets.
Following his passion in animal welfare, Terry became involved with the RSPCA as a volunteer at the Southridge Animal Centre in Hertfordshire, becoming Chair of the Friends group there in 2009.
Terry has fostered a variety of dogs and cats from RSPCA Southridge RSPCA Animal Centre over the years, currently sharing his bungalow with George, a three-legged Staffie, and four cats, Thomas, Charlie, Sparky and Pebbles. All of whom love listening to the Rolling Stones or The Who, watching Game of Thrones or curling up beside him with a good book!
