Bob Baylis

Bob has a background in the farming industry, having begun his career as an organic smallholder in Norfolk supplying goats milk and other produce to health food stores in the area. 

Bob's commitment to animal welfare dates back to the early 1980s and prior to becoming a trustee with the RSPCA, he held Director roles at Animal Aid and BUAV. He also worked with Norwich City Council to develop an Animal's Charter for the local authority.

Bob was a volunteer and trustee with the Norwich and Mid-Norfolk Branch for more than 18 years, holding the roles of Branch Secretary, Chair and Regional Board Rep. He project-managed the setting-up of the branch's Barrack Street Clinic and Cattery.

As national trustee, Bob has chaired a number of council committees and led the development of the Society’s Ethical Policy which covers the charity's Investments and also its suppliers . He is a Director of Freedom Food Ltd and is also currently Chair of the External Relations and Strategic Animal Welfare Committee.
