How you can help animals in our care

There are lots of ways that you can help your local RSPCA.

Every year thousands of animals suffer from neglect, cruelty and abuse. Together we can help end their misery.

Whether you want to give a simple donation or be a bit more hands on we're truly grateful. Take a look around to see how you can help us make a difference to animals lives.

Shop for a better life for animals

When you shop via our RSPCA Online Shop, you're helping to support our work. So whether you're buying a dog bed or a cat bowl you know that the purchase you make will help benefit animal welfare in your local area.

We have one shop within our Community Hub located in Chester-le-Street where you can grab a bargain and help us raise funds to provide animal welfare in our local area. We are always looking for donations to stock our shops too, so if you live near our shops and are having a clear out - we'd be very grateful! If you are a UK Tax Payer and able to Gift Aid your donation, we are able to claim another 20% of what your donations sell for from the Government - all we need from you is a couple of details! 

Why not broswe our items for sale on eBay there are many bargains  to be found, simply go to our page and click on items for sale. 100% of the sales of these items will benefit RSPCA Sunderland Hartlepool & South Tyneside Branch and help with much needed funds for our Animal Welfare work.

If you have an Amazon account already, why not sign into Amazon Smile with your current log in, its the same way of shopping with amazon with the exception you can choose the charity you want to support. search for RSPCA Sunderland. Hartlepool & South Tyneside Branch Charity Number 232265.  Once in to your account you will search and buy as normal, the difference is you will notice a box at the top left of your account a box referenced 'supporting' and when clicked on it shows how much you have raised towards your chosen charity by purchasing your normal shopping.  This couldnt be easier to support our branch with much needed funds for Animal Welfare.

 

Fundraising fun

There are loads of ways to raise money for the RSPCA! If you're a daredevil you could do a skydive or if you prefer to keep your feet on the ground you could take part in a run. Take a look at our fundraising ideas to get you started.

Our fantastic and dedicated supporters can also use our JustGiving to help raise funds for our branch through donations or setting up their own fundraising event through Just Giving.  The enables much need funds to help animals who are abused through cruelty, neglected or abandoned.  

Dont forgot when making a donation through Just Giving please remember to add Gift Aid, If you are a UK Taxpayer and able to Gift Aid your donation.

Gift Aid allows UK charities to claim back the basic rate tax already paid on donations by the donor.

This means we can claim back from the government on your behalf 25p for every £1 donated, boosting the value of the donation by a quarter.
