Stapeley Grange Cattery

RSPCA needs your help to find needy cats homes in Cheshire

RSPCA Stapeley Grange in Nantwich desperately need homes for their cats as adoption numbers have fallen.

During the last two months Stapeley Grange in Nantwich, Cheshire had 23 adoptions - by the end of April the centre was 32 adoptions down on last year, having only adopted out 69 cats.

There are 897 cats available for rehoming at RSPCA centres at the moment, up 13 per cent from last year and cat rehoming is down by five per cent.

Stapeley Grange centre manager Lee Stewart said: “Although all our cats are well cared for and loved whilst in our care, we are no substitute for that ‘forever home’ and loving family.

“As an adoptee you are not only giving that cat or kitten a loving home, you are also freeing up space within the cattery for another abandoned or abused cat to be rescued by the RSPCA.

“It is not easy telling an inspector that we are full and there is simply no more room for any more cats so adopting one of our animals has a double significance for the Society and those animals most in need.”
