JUDGE

As you can see Judge is a very handsome chap! He's an affectionate boy who loves to lean into you and enjoy a fuss. He is also very fond of toys! Judge finds any toys entertaining but perhaps he's favourite would have to be squeaky balls! Unfortunately through no fault of his own Judge has spent a long time in kennels, therefore he may take some time to settle into home life. With commitment from his new owners we know Judge will be a wonderful companion and will provide plenty of love and entertainment in return.

ASSISTED ADOPTION AGREEMENT
Judge arrived in our care in Feb 2016 with injuries to his front left leg and right hind leg. These were x-rayed and confirmed as un-treated breaks/bites. Judge was immediately started on antibiotics and pain relief to which he responded well, with the wounds and sores healing up satisfactorily. He has been on daily Metacam (an anti-inflammatory) and has stayed on that under guidance from our vet. Due to the severity of the breaks and how they healed, Judge does have arthritis in the joints and his right hind foot/hock is visibly different to the left.

This however hasn’t stopped Judge leading a very happy and active life and he will continue to do so in a new home. Owners will just need to be vigilant regarding his general mobility and comfort and seek veterinary advice should things change. As he gets older a senior diet and joint supplements may be worth looking into under guidance from your vet.

The RSPCA North Somerset Branch is able to supply long-term medication prescribed to treat his arthritis under our ASSISTED ADOPTION AGREEMENT - please call or pop in for full information on this.
