Frankie is a lovely gentle natured boy, who melts the heart of everyone he meets. He is friendly and very loving, he really enjoys being with his human friends having plenty of fuss and attention. He enjoys having playtime with you and his favourite toy is a raggy, he will happily play tug of war in the most gentle manner.

He arrived at the Centre via our Inspectorate as his welfare needs were not being met. Frankie was in need of Veterinary care, good nutrition and plenty of tlc to help build his confidence and trust. The staff have worked wonders with him and he is now a cuddly boy who loves being with you. Unfortunately Frankie has limited visibility in his eyes, this does not stop him playing, eating, going for walks, going up and down steps or enjoying spending time with his canine companions.

Frankie is looking for a loving home where his new family are home most of the day to keep him company. Due to his friendly gentle nature he could live with sensible primary school aged children who are gentle and calm with him. Frankie is great with other dogs and has made a few female friends at the Centre who he goes walking with and has playtime in our off lead paddock play area. He bonds quickly with other dogs and stays close to them and uses them as a guide when in unfamiliar territory, it is amazing to see so it would be beneficial if he was rehomed with a female friend for company. Frankie could live with a female dog upon successful introduction at the centre and a confident cat that is used to dogs.
Frankie is a senior boy, who deserves to have plenty of tlc in his twilight years, if you have the love and cuddles Frankie needs and think this little heart breaker could be the one to join your family then please call into the centre or email newport@rspca.org.uk and request a perfect match form.

Thinking of adopting me?

There's a lot to think about before taking on a pet.  Read our rehoming page to find out more about adopting from the RSPCA.

If you see an animal you think is suitable, please contact the Newport animal centre staff who will ask you to complete an adoption form. A home visit is always arranged and everyone in your household would need to meet the animal. All dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets adopted from us are neutered, microchipped and vaccinated (all included in the adoption fee).
