BENJAMIN

Beautiful Benjamin is a special boy, he is our eleven year old golden oldie. He is still active and enjoys chasing a ball and running round our paddock off lead play area. Benjamin is the most loving boy, he thrives on fuss and attention and simply longs to have company from his human companions. He has been quite a star at the Centre, he has met celebrities at the Big Walkies, done press releases and socialised with many doggy friends having his photo taken.
Benjamin arrived at our Centre over a year ago through the Inspectors as his owner had passed away, leaving him in the property until they were found. Unfortunately due to his age and being a big boy he waited over a year before someone finally showed interest and adopted him, unfortunately his new adopted family circumstances changed dramatically where they had to move in with family to share care for a family member. They described Benjamin as a delight in the home, he was house trained, settled quickly and was great company.
It has been a few months since Benjamin was returned and he is starting to give up, he is now struggling with kennel life and is desperate to find a loving home. He would like a loving home where his family are home most of the day to keep him company, give him gentle walks, lots of love and affection and plenty of squeaky toys!
Benjamin could potentially be fostered or adopted by a family with secondary school aged children, he could possibly live with a female dog after a successful introduction but would ideally need a cat free home.
If you feel you could offer Benjamin a loving foster home, then email newport@rspca.org.uk and request a perfect match form. We would love to see Benjamin happy, settled and loved in his twilight years, he deserves a loving home as he has been through so much.

If you think this lovely boy could become a part of your family home please do not hesitate to contact the centre-the love and kisses he will give you when he meets you will warm anyones heart.

Thinking of adopting me?

There's a lot to think about before taking on a pet.  Read our rehoming page to find out more about adopting from the RSPCA.

If you see an animal you think is suitable, please contact the Newport animal centre staff who will ask you to complete an adoption form. A home visit is always arranged and everyone in your household would need to meet the animal. All dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets adopted from us are neutered, microchipped and vaccinated (all included in the adoption fee).
