The difference we make - Yoda (now Bella)

The difference we make - Yoda (now Bella) - 16/11/13 image

All of the animals that come into my care hold a place in my heart but there is always the odd animal that is really quite special. Yoda was part of a case of 17 Bichons that were rescued from a home where they had been living in very poor conditions, were under weight and very over-grown and matted. They entered RSPCA care in April 2013 and I fostered Yoda and her friend Daisy until they were rehomed in the May. Unfortunately Yoda was returned from her first home due to behavioural problems and once again came home with me on foster in the June. She was eventually found the perfect home and I have just been back to visit her today, 3 months on from her adoption to see how she has settled in. Bella as she is now known, was almost unrecognisable as the little dog who was rescued back in April. Stories such as this make me very proud of the job I do and the society that I am part of.
