HERALD

Handsome Herald arrived with us at Christmas, reported as a stray who had been fed by several local cat lovers, but our Inspectors were called when his carers were worried about him living out in the cold. We have been unable to find his owner, and Herald is now looking for a very special home. We don't have any history for Herald, but we estimate he is middle aged; he has been given a clean bill of health from our vet, other than blood tests which show that his kidneys are not functioning as well as we would like them to. We are unable to say how this may progress, but sadly it is likely to shorten his life expectancy. For this reason, we would like to find him a respite or retirement home. We would love to hear from anyone who could consider offering such a special home to Herald.
He is very shy to begin with, but once he gains your trust, he loves cuddles, head bumps and he rolls around to have his tummy tickled. He is a gentle giant, but still tries to squeeze onto your knee! He loves company, and we love to spend time with him. When he hears you coming he pops his head out from his blankets to say hello!
Herald would probably be best suited to living as an only pet in his new home, and with adult only or older children, who have experience caring for cats. He would enjoy an indoor only home, or a safe and sunny garden to enjoy some time outside.
Please get in touch if you feel you could be that special someone to give Herald a loving home for however long he may have to enjoy it. We realise this may be a very difficult task, but he is such a wonderful cat we would love to see him content.
