RSPCA Liverpool kennels and cattery are now closed
Dear friends, followers and adoptees of RSPCA Liverpool.
It’s with a heavy heart that we release this statement.
Unfortunately RSPCA Liverpool Branch has been struggling financially for some years now.
It currently costs over half a million pounds a year to keep the centre running and this has been very difficult to raise each year due to the current financial climate.
In December 2018 our branch committee made the difficult decision to close the branches kennels and cattery based in Halewood by May 2019 with the loss of all staff jobs.
As the world’s oldest animal charity RSPCA Liverpool Branch will still have a presence in animal care in Liverpool but our committee has yet to decide on the role it is likely to play.
All the staff at RSPCA Liverpool would like to thank everyone that has supported us.
