Dixie is an older girl, we think around 7yrs old, but nobody has told her this, she still thinks she’s a youngster! Sadly Dixie’s owner died and no family were able to take her on, so this lovely Rottie type girl has found herself with us now.
Dixie gets along with some dogs, although she can be a bit much for most dogs as she’s quite playful and can be a bit strong, we feel she’d probably be better as an only dog as this is what she’s always been used to. She definitely needs a home with no cats or small furry pets. She has been good with the children that she’s met, but would probably be better in an adult home or one with older children just because of her size and her age, she might not cope with smaller more energetic children.
Dixie is an absolute star, she already knows some basic commands and because she’s such a greedy girl who loves her food we feel sure that she’d easily pick up new things. She walks reasonably well on the lead, she can pull a bit sometimes, but again she’d learn very quickly. She’s a very sweet, loving girl.
