|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair crossbreed|
|Age:||9 Years (approx)|
Evie is a very sweet timid cat looking for a special home with loving adopters prepared to be rewarded by the patience she needs to settle in and show her affectionate nature. She enjoys strokes when relaxed.
When Evie first arrived in her foster home, she was very nervous. She found a hiding spot under a bed and stayed there, venturing out only to use the litterbox and eat. It was during a trip to the vet that her fosterers realised that this sweet girl actually loves being petted - she was just too nervous to ask for it!
Evie is a lovely nine year-old cat who is independent-minded, but will never say no to a cuddle. and in fact, meows loudly anytime she wants to be stroked. She has come on leaps and bounds in just a month, but she will need her future family to be patient with her and let her warm up to them.
Evie has been diagnosed with early kidney disease (common in cats of her age) which can be easily managed with a renal diet and plenty of liquid intake, but will require regular urine tests and ongoing veterinary monitoring.
She is very good using her litter tray.
She enjoys her wet food and we are introducing dry food to help improve her dental condition. She has recently had a full dental treatment with our vet, all good now. Neutered, microchipped, vaccinated.
- I'd prefer to be the only cat in a home
- I'll probably spend more time inside
- I'd prefer an adult only household
- I'm a shy guy; I'll need time to settle
- I would prefer not to live with a dog
