Adoption Process
We have cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and small animals available for adoption. Unfortunately, as we have no dog facilities, we have no dogs available for adoption. All animals available for adoption are on our website rspcawestdorset.org
If you find an animal you would be interested in, then please fill in our Adoption Application Form. If you are successful we will contact you, usually via email within 10 days of your application to arrange an appointment to meet the animal.
Let us know the name of any specific animals you are interested in or inform us of the type of animal you might be happy to adopt. We will then arrange a time for you to visit the centre where you can view the animals and we can discuss the suitability of the adoption. We may ask you for photos of the intended home and surroundings and if it is rental accommodation, permission from the landlord will be required.
If suitable, the animal can then be reserved. Arrangements can made for time and date of pick up and the adoption fee paid. All the necessary paperwork and details of the animal will be provided.
Due to the very large number of enquiries we receive, we will not be able to contact you if the animal you are interested in is already reserved, or if no suitable animal is currently available. If you have not heard from us within 10 days, your application has unfortunately been unsuccessful on this occasion.
