HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We want to start 2018 by saying a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has supported us, adopted from us and volunteered their time to us.

2017 was a great year and here at the South Yorkshire Animal Centre we have achieved so much and we can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for us.

Throughout the year your help and support has helped us care for over 1600 animals from small furries and wildlife to dogs and cats and everything else in-between.

We had a great year for adoptions.  231 dogs, 411 cats, 94 rabbits and 154 small furries were adopted throughout the year.

We saw a good amount of donations for our charity shops.  Also your kind donations of bedding, food, toys and other essentials for our animals were greatly appreciated and were a great help to us throughout the year.

Summer 2017 saw the start of our refurbishment programme.  The first step was to redevelop our derelict dog compound to enable the dogs to have both physical and mental stimulation and to reduce the stress of kennel life.

In November 2017 we opened a new brand new RSPCA Charity shop in Bawtry. Our existing shops in Rotherham, Thorne and Rossington have received continued great local support.

To continue our ambitions and to take the best care for the animals who have had a tough break in life requires your support and donations through, for example; Collections, Safe Haven, legacies, buying from our pet shop and attending our events.

We look forward to, and welcome your continued support in 2018.
