Police Commissioner Visit

Police Commissioner Visit image

On the 31st July we were lucky enough to receive a visit from the Police & Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire, Alan Charles.

In his crime plan Alan Charles stated that he wanted to tackle wildlife crime and animal cruelty in Derbyshire and so he spent a day with the Inspectors and visited the Derby RSPCA to get a greater appreciation of the issues faced by an RSPCA rehoming Centre.

Whilst he and his Deputy were with us they were given a tour by the Animal Care Supervisor to see the animals in our care and to understand the work we do to enrich their time with us. He also spent time with the Branch Manager and our Chair of Trustees to discuss ideas about how we could work more closely together in the future to tackle animal cruelty and improve the welfare of animals.
