Bury Oldham & District Branch
The RSPCA Bury, Oldham & District Branch covers a large area, including the towns of Ramsbottom, Rawtenstall, Bacup, Radcliffe, Shaw, Haslingden, Rawtenstall and Royton.
The Bury, Oldham Branch of the RSPCA looks after unwanted cats and dogs. Many of them arrive from homes that, for one reason or another, can no longer look after them.
Some are left tied up at our gates and some in boxes. Some, sadly, reach us as a result of neglect or cruelty and it takes us many months to rehabilitate these animals.
The branch is run by staff; however we rely heavily on volunteers. We currently have thirteen shops, and we have a rehoming centre for cats and dogs in Oldham.
Hours of opening for the animal centre are:
9.30am - 4pm Everyday.
Our animal welfare work covers rehoming, assisted neutering and microchipping and also a mobile welfare veterinary clinic which goes out and about fortnightly offering greatly reduced veterinary assistance to all animal owners in receipt of certain benefits.
We also regularly fundraise and promote the profile of animal welfare issues within our area.
The staff at the Bury, Oldham RSPCA give care and love to the animals in our centre and our knowledgeable staff provide for the individual needs of each animal until the day it can find a kind and loving new home.
If you telephone our branch or visit our animal centre you can be assured that we will assist you in any way we can. It may be that you have some animal issues you want to discuss or perhaps you are looking to adopt an animal, whatever the reason for your visit or telephone call our team will do their utmost to help. The majority of our staff are RSPCA Standard Procedure trained and you will always receive a friendly welcome and high quality service.
We have a responsibility to all animals in our care and our aim is to rehome all of our animals to loving people who will give them the attention and love they need. A number of our animals may have come from troubled backgrounds and these animals may need a lot of time and effort. However together we can give them the time and respect they require.
