We are looking for a special home with experienced and confident owners for this lady after she picked up as a heavily pregnant stray, giving birth to three kittens shortly after arriving. She was initially very fearful and wary of us but overtime her confidence around people has grown although can still get quite worried at times and really doesn’t want to be held. Shadow is happy to be left to do her own thing so needs a home where owners will be hands off and let her have all the time and space that she requires as it will take time for trust to be built. Shadow seemed happy with her previous outdoor life as she had a large open space to roam around freely so may do better in a home where can come and go as she pleases (farm, stables) and someone who is willing to provide food, water and shelter. Shadow will need to be confined for several weeks before she can go off and explore her new home. If you think you can offer Shadow a fresh start, please pop into the centre to meet her.

My personality

  • I'd prefer to be the only cat in a home
  • I'd prefer to be outside most of the time
  • I'd prefer an adult only household
  • I'm independent; I like to do my own thing!
  • I would prefer not to live with a dog
