REUBEN

The lovely Reuben was initially picked up as injured stray after we think he was hit by a car. X-rays showed he had a fractured pelvis and a broken tail. His pelvis has healed over time with strict cage rest and pain relief but his tail had to be amputated however he has adjusted well and it doesn’t seem to bother him. At first, Reuben was quite nervous and withdrawn but he has since settled down and has come out of his shell showing himself to be a sweet, friendly and affectionate cat.  He can still be slightly shy and a bit nervous at times but is making great progress with his confidence and the longer you spend time with him, the more he relaxes. He is looking for a patient owner who will help him settle in at home in his own time and he is best suited to a quieter indoor home without young children.

My personality

  • I'd prefer to be the only cat in a home
  • I need to be kept indoors
  • I could live with children of secondary school age
  • I'm a shy guy; I'll need time to settle
  • I would prefer not to live with a dog
