Purdy is an older girl who came into our care alongside her daughter Fifi when her owner’s health deteriorated. On arrival, she was suffering from a flea allergy that had gone untreated for some time resulting in her feeling itchy and uncomfortable however after some medication, monthly flea treatments and a hypoallergenic diet her skin condition has improved greatly.  Purdy is a very sweet natured and extremely loving cat who loves being fussed and is equally happy being groomed however she doesn’t like being picked up. Purdy loves her bed and can often be found curled up snoozing but when she sees you she will stretch and come over to say hello. This lady is looking for a quiet retirement home with someone who can offer her lots of company, fuss and cuddles. She’s looking for a home where any children are secondary school age and a home where she can get used to her new surroundings and family at her own pace.  It would be great if Purdy could be rehomed alongside her daughter Fifi although we think that Purdy would be equally happy being rehomed on her own too. Purdy came in suffering from flu like symptoms so our vet has suggested that she is only rehomed with cats who have been exposed to the same condition as flare ups may arise in the new home following the initial stress period of settling in but don’t let this put you off as Purdy will make a fantastic companion for some lucky individual!
