Mac is looking for an experienced and patient owner after he was handed into a local vet practice as an injured stray. It has taken Mac a little bit of time to settle in and put his trust in us, he is a shy and at times nervous boy who lacks confidence and needs to warm up to people first so don’t be afraid if you hear an odd hiss before he realises everything is ok. He spends the majority of his day in his trusty igloo bed but with a little bit of encouragement, plenty of reassurance and a tasty treat or two he soon comes around and is starting to show us his friendly side. As Mac can still be unsure around new faces and in new situations he would prefer a quiet stress free home without children. He would certainly benefit from an owner who has had cats of a similar nature to Mac before who understands his needs and will help him adjust to a home life and carry out further socialisation and confidence building.  Mac has never received the love and warmth of a forever home and with the help of a committed owner will make a lovely feline friend for someone.

My personality

  • I'd prefer to be the only cat in a home
  • I need to be able to go outside and explore
  • I'd prefer an adult only household
  • I'm a shy guy; I'll need time to settle
  • I would prefer not to live with a dog
