Meet our golden oldies Denise (short hair) & Marjorie (long hair), this pair of sister's came into our care from one of our inspectors. When they both arrived they were obviously quite bewildered and upset and would spend most of their time hiding away. After a few weeks of settling in and lots of love and TLC we are now seeing a sweet side to both of these girls. They settled in slowly and started to enjoy having fuss, now they can't get enough! Denise would happily sit with you all day while you fuss her and she will purr and dribble with enjoyment, whereas Marjorie enjoys a fuss but isn't affraid to let you know when she's had enough. They both seem to like a quiet life and enjoy their creature comforts, they spend a lot of their day snoozing away and chilling in their bed, they have always lived together so we are trying to find them a home together again. They would prefer a quiet home with no young children and an owner that will give them the time they need to help them settle into their new home. Marjorie is long haired and when she arrived she was quite matted, after a dematt at our animal hospital she is now tangle free and has a lovely long coat. She enjoys being groomed and this is a great way of bonding with them as well. Denise is the more confident one of the pair and Marjorie seeks reassurance from her, so it will really help them to have each other around when they go to their new home. Marjorie recently had a procedure to remove a benign tumour from above her eye, the vets are confident that what remains is healthy tissue. Her eye now is a slightly smaller shape than the other, this is just due to where they had to stitch the skin post lump removal, she can still see fine out of the eye
