BLADE

Cheeky boy Blade came into our care due to the ill health of his previous owner which meant they could no longer take care of him. He settled in well with us and is now ready to find his new home. He is a big and bouncy fella who really has a zest for life and has met all new people with a very waggy tail! His previous owners clearly put a lot of effort into him as he knows lots of commands such as sit, stay, down etc and he is so clever and responsive to his handler that we believe he could learn more. As confident as he generally is it has also being known to falter if he is suprised by something unfamiliar such as a swinging sign, then he has been known to jump behind his handlers legs until told it's safe to come out! He enjoys playing Tug-O-war and squeaking his squeaky toys and will really throw himself into rough and tumble play. We have introduced him to other dogs and it's clear his very recent neutering was much needed as he is a little too flirty for the ladies and was at first dominant with other male dogs. We have been socialising him further with dogs and have already seen loads of progress, his new owners will be advised to continue this in the home (staff here can show you the methods we have found to work) so perhaps one day in the future he could live with another if his owners wished him too. Until he reaches that point we are looking for Blade to be the only pet in his new home. Anyone willing to adopt him will need to be experienced with overly boisterous bull breeds, active enough to provide him with the exercise he requires and also happy to provide him with the mental stimulation this clever boy thrives on. Children (if present) need to be of secondary school age and confident around dogs

  • I need help learning to like other dogs
  • I'd prefer not to live with a cat
  • I'm always on the go
  • I love toys and games
