Say hi to our beauty Aretha. She was discovered as an injured stray and taken into our animal hospital. She had an open infected fracture to her left foreleg which was sadly beyond repair. Our vets amputated it and she hasn't looked back since. We have found her to have a sweet and gentle temperament after her initial settling in period. She loves lots and lots of fuss and will nudge your hand to remind you she is still there and would like some more if you stop. She purrs her appreciation the entire way through and occasionally gives you a little 'love bite' too which doesn''t hurt at all. We have yet to see her play but she may do so as her confidence in new situations grows. We feel she could live with children (if present) of early primary school age and above. We have introduced her to other cats and she seemed unhappy in their presence so she wishes to be the only cat in her new home

My personality

  • I'd prefer to be the only cat in a home
  • I need to be able to go outside and explore
  • I could live with children
  • I'm a shy guy; I'll need time to settle
  • I may be able to live with a friendly dog
