Key activities

To bottle feed young kittens as required, day and night. To provide the kittens with a safe environment. To inform the centre immediately should there be concern regarding the health of a kitten. The kittens must be kept separate from existing pets whilst in your care so you will need a separate room to keep the kittens in.

Times & preferred duration of commitment

Flexible, dependant on the animals in care. There may be only one litter per year that requires hand rearing, or there may be many.

Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required

Previous experience of fostering/hand-rearing would be beneficial, experience of caring for cats, dogs or small animals is essential. If you have existing pets they must be spayed/neutered unless there are medical reasons why they can't be and their vaccination records must be seen.
