Take on this fantastic local half marathon or 5km route to raise money for our South Godstone Animal Centre.
Following a highly acclaimed inaugural event with over 4,000 runners the British Airways Run Gatwick Half Marathon and 5km will take place Sunday 12 May 2019.
Set in the beautiful West Sussex and Surrey countryside on fully closed roads around Gatwick Airport, this is a great chance for new and experienced runners alike to explore the local area whilst raising money for animals in need.
Money raised from this event will go towards the vital work of our South Godstone Animal Centre, enabling them to continue taking in abandoned and abused animals and caring for them until new homes can be found.
South Godstone Animal Centre
Most of the animals at South Godstone have been rescued from neglect and bad treatment by their previous owners. When they arrive at the centre they are often nervous of strangers. The centre staff and volunteers spend weeks, sometimes months, looking after them and preparing them for a new life and a second chance.
The centre takes in cats, dogs, rabbits and other domestic animals - at any one time over 150 animals can be waiting for new homes at South Godstone. The centre relies on donations from people just like you to keep the animals well cared for until the perfect new home can be found, please sign up to Run Gatwick today.
