The Great Big Picnic
Plan the perfect Picnic for National Picnic Week - 15 to 24 June
Everyone loves an excuse to get together with friends and family and enjoy the great outdoors so how about gathering a group of your favourite people and holding a Great Big Picnic? It’s a great chance to have some fun, as well as raising some money to help animals.
Your perfect picnic pack includes posters, bunting, invites, food tent cards and cake flags There are also colour-in face masks for children and lots more fun ideas to do on the day.
Big Picnic fundraising-fun
For the bakers amongst you, you might want to hold a competition for the Best Decorated Cake or Cupcake, you could have a ‘Guess the weight of the cake’ and ‘Guess the number of sweets in the jar’.
Those that are feeling more energetic could try rounders, a Tug o’War and even a sack or egg & spoon race (using hard boiled eggs that you can eat later at the picnic after!).
You can help make a big difference
The money that you raise at your picnic will help us to rescue, rehome and rehabilitate animals in need. For example:
- Raise £30 and you could help us rescue a neglected animal.
- Raise £60 and you could help provide enough food, shelter and bedding for a rescued dog for a week.
- Raise £120 and you could help pay for a pet to be microchipped, vaccinated and treated so he’s ready for his loving new home
