Saving animals from cruelty - a legacy to be proud of

There are many different reasons why people decide to remember us in their Wills.

For Angie Coles and her husband, it was a way to carry on standing up to animal cruelty.

"I’m proud to say I’ve left a gift to the RSPCA. There’s so much cruelty in the world and I want to help organisations like the RSPCA put an end to it. We have to help them keep going."

Angie’s reasons for remembering us in her Will come from a very closely held belief. It’s always a highly personal decision, but it’s also one that can offer a real sense of pride in what you’re leaving behind.

"I would really encourage others to consider leaving a gift in their Will to charity if they can. If there is anything that you’re really passionate about you can leave a little something behind – I want our legacy to help brilliant causes like the RSPCA."

Angie was also surprised by how straightforward the process was.

"It’s really easy to do – no stress. As long as you know what you want it’s quite simple. I think it sometimes doesn’t cross people's minds but even a small percentage can make a huge difference."
