End wild animals in circuses

We don't believe any animal should be subjected to the conditions of circus life. These animals often experience:

  • Regular transport
  • cramped and bare temporary housing
  • forced training and performance
  • loud noises and crowds

Unfortunately, animals continue to be used in circuses, including wild animals such as camels and zebras. The damage to their welfare is likely to be significant, and scientific research has shown that circus life can have a harmful effect on the welfare of many species.

Have your say on the Welsh Government's Circus Bill

The Welsh Government has published a proposed law and launched a consultation, which would ban the use of wild animals in travelling circuses. We are responding to the consultation, but need your support to make sure that the Bill ends this cruel practice. You have until the 28 November to take action for the consultation.
