WINSTON

Handsome chocolate Labrador Winston has come to us due to a change in his previous owner's circumstances. He is a typical young Lab, only around 2.5 years old, and Winston has some basic commands, but is very silly and would definitely benefit from ongoing training, particularly to help him walk nicely on his lead. We are currently walking him on a headcollar. We feel he may not have had much exercise in his former home, as he gets quite excited on walks and around other dogs, but is generally a lovely friendly boy who just needs an experienced adopter who has the time and patience to help him settle and learn some manners. Winston did live with another dog in his previous home, so we feel he may be able to live with a friendly, calm dog following a successful introduction. He may also be able to live with older teenagers who were used to dogs, and who were willing to help with Winston's ongoing training. Winston has had a lot of upheaval in his young life, and is not enjoying time in the kennels, he really needs to be in a loving new home. If you would like further information, please get in touch with our Rehoming Coordinator Louise email:rspca.newcastleadoptions@gmail.com or call 07973 952575.

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
