Spiro came in on the 7th of February as he was unwanted.

He is a very friendly, lively pup who enjoys fuss and attention. Spiro knows sit, come and his name on command, is housetrained, good when groomed and enjoys his walks.

He is very sociable with other dogs and may be able to live with a confident cat.

Spiro needs an owner who is prepared to put time into his training.  He suffers from separation anxiety so cannot be left on his own at all to begin with.  His new owner will need to gradually teach him that it is ok to be on his own for short periods.

He has lived with children 8 years and older in his previous home.

My personality

  • I know how to sit (and lots of other commands too!)
  • I could live with children
  • I need teaching that it's ok to be alone
  • I get on well with many other dogs
  • I may be able to live with a friendly cat
  • I'm a gentle giant (big and strong)
  • I love fuss and attention

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
