SAM

Sam is a registered Irish greyhound, who was bought at a “meet” in Ireland and brought over here by his new owner.   Sam was signed over to one of our RSPCA Inspectors as his needs were not being met.

He is a handsome boy who loves people and walks nicely on his lead, but please be aware that he has never lived in a home before so will need a family who will be patient with him as he learns about stairs, washing machines, vacuum cleaners and, last but not least, the amazing comfort of a well padded bed or, even better, a sofa.

We will not rehome Sam to families with cats or other small furries as he has been encouraged to chase in his previous life.

If you would like to meet Sam with a view to adoption please don’t hesitate to contact the branch by email or leave a message on our answerphone 0795 412 2481

Why I'm special

Sam is a lovely boy who loves people and other dogs.   He will need to learn about living in a house but as he is very clean in his kennel we feel sure that his housetraining will be easy.   Sam has been with us for much too long and a kind gentle greyhound will make anyone's family complete.

My personality

  • I walk nicely on a lead
  • I could live with children of secondary school age
  • I need someone with me most of the time
  • I may be able to live with another dog
  • I'd prefer not to live with a cat
  • I'm quiet but full of love
  • I love fuss and attention
