RUFUS

Rufus is a handsome chunk of a dog who came to us from another branch as he was struggling to cope at their centre. He is much happier here and is enjoying life in South Yorks so far! He is rather rambunctious and full of energy. Its no surprise that he finds kennel life frustrating as he can't keep as busy as he would like as he is constantly looking for fun and adventure.

This lovely boy is quite toy and food focussed which is brilliant as he will do just about anything to get some action with his favourite things. With his motivation and energy, you never know he may be the next Britain's got talent finalist - he'd definitely give it a good go!

Rufus has not had the best start in life and due to lack of socialisation, this boy struggles with his social skills around other dogs. He often misreads their signals and can think they are a threat when they are not and can in turn overreact. We are working with Rufus on this currently and he is responding brilliantly to this training. Any potential adopters will be shown the training methods we are using so that they can continue this in a home. Rufus is looking for a home where he can be the only pet so he doesn't have to worry and he can also have all his owner's love and attention for himself too!

Rufus is quite the cheeky dog and is very enthusiatic with his toy playing antics, due to this we feel he would be better suited to living in a home where any children are over 14 years so they can help with his training and can play a big part in Rufus' life.

This poor boy has been through a really rough time and really needs your help. Please put your faith in him and offer him space in your home and heart so he can be happy and flourish.  He really is awesome!

Why I'm special

Rufus has had a tough past but he doesn't let that get him down. He is a friendly, bubbly, lively and super fun lad who is very intelligent and motivated - he has made great strides with his training whilst being with us. He loves having adventures and will give 110% of his effort and heart to anyone giving him time and support to develop and grow.  This fellow is adored by our staff and he really deserves a chance to shine - he is marvellous!
