Rosie is a lovely young netherland dwarf rabbit who was callously abandoned by her previous owners when they moved away. They left her to fend for herself in the garden which opened out on to a main road, she's lucky that she was found before the worst could happen.
Rosie has been in our care now for over 6 months, she was incredibly stressed in our pods and wasn't showing her full potential so she has been in a foster care for the last few weeks and has really come out of her shell. She loves head rubs and has formed a close bond with her foster carer so we are anxious to find her a home quickly so that she can spend this time bonding with her forever owners instead.
Rosie is looking for a home with a neutered male rabbit for company. She could potentially live with sensible children and as she has been kept indoors at her foster home she will need to live inside for the winter at least. If you think that Rosie could be the girl for you please get in touch so that we can make arrangements for you to meet her.
*Rosie has been vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered*
Why I'm special
Rosie is so special because she has shown that even after being left behind by people she loved she can still form a great bond with people. Her foster carer has this to say: Rosie has been having a lot of visitors to get her used to new and different people and everyone that meets her loves her. Her ears always go up when she hears people coming into the house and in her own time she¿ll come out of her pen to meet them. She has been with me for 11 weeks but she¿s been in the RSPCA care for quite a bit more. She constantly wants head rubs and once I stop she pushes her chin on my hands and puts her head down for more. She runs to me every time she sees me or hears my voice. She¿ll lick my hands/wrists if I¿ve been out all day and if I sit down while she¿s out of her pen she¿ll flop right next to my feet. She¿s incredibly tidy and loves eating hay and all veg and the occasional small bit of fruit (the only veg she dislikes is courgettes). She¿ll come to you if she wants attention. She¿s very nosy and likes to explore everything. Rosie¿s great when she¿s being picked up. She enjoys pulling shoes off the shoe rack and still prefers to walk on rugs and carpets instead of the hard floor.
- I may be able to live with a male rabbit
- I'd be happy living indoors if you give me lots to do
- I could live with children of primary school age
- I like treat time and being hand-fed
