Ronnie The Rooster came to us as a stray. We were contacted by a member of the public after he began hanging around their bird feeder pinching what he could. Unfortunately an owner hasn't come forward for him so Ronnie is now looking for a new home. He seems a very placid chap and is very good to handle. He is also a very large, handsome boy and is looking for a home with some similar sized girls.

Ronnie will need a secure coop to roost in overnight, and access to a safe area during the day where they can scratch about on grass, dust bathe, and exhibit natural behaviour.

If you would like more information about Ronnie, please ring the RSPCA West Hatch Animal Centre on 0300 123 0747 during our opening hours.

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
