Introducing our gorgeous girl Radish. Radish is just shy of 2 years old, a black Labrador who loves nothing more than to play with her toys and go for long leisurely walks in the countryside. This very affectionate young lady has stolen the hearts of all the team here at the centre, despite only being here for a short time!

Radish thrives on fuss and cuddles with everyone she meets and is responding quickly to new training commands introduced by our team. Radish already knew sit when she arrived at the centre but has since learned to sit and stay while we enter her kennel and will sit at each door while we open it.

Radish loves going on long walks in fields where she can eagerly sniff out the best smells on offer and is not bothered by passing cars, cyclists or even buses. This cheeky girl loves playing tug with her soft toys and is currently learning to drop them on command!

Radish is a very sociable dog who enjoys meeting new dogs on walks, wagging her tail and sometimes pulling towards them as she approaches them. Whilst excited to meet them, she will still keep a good connection with her handler, often sitting and making eye contact with you when you ask her to. When she feels completely comfortable with her new friends she will happily walk alongside them and play. Radish will happily jump into our van when we take her out for walks offsite and she travels well.

Radish has shown that she is good when meeting children but can be excitable and try to jump up, so therefore we recommend she lives in a home with dog savvy children or teenagers that can help with training and taking her for long walks. Radish is looking for a family that can play with her, take her for long walks, and above all provide her with lots of fuss and cuddles. In return, Radish will give you her unconditional love, loyalty and licks galore!

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
