Pippa has been through some hard times before coming to us! At some time in the past, she either broke or trapped her leg. She didn’t receive the proper treatmentand the result is that her leg is deformed, and she can not walk on it properly. As well as being a problem in itself, this has contributed to a lack of exercise which means that she is carrying too much weight - not helped by her love of food!

We have had her leg operated on, and it has been in a splint for several weeks. The splint has just been removed. Although it will be a while until she can walk properly, the vet is pleased with her progress and we are confident that she will recover.

All of this had not dimmed Pippa's enthusiasm for life. Who ever gives her a forever home will have to be ready for all of her tricks - she is a great escapologist! We know little else about her, she is probably between six and eight years old. She is a happy and loving little girl, although, like many small dogs, she needs to get to know you in her own time. She seems to get on well with other dogs, but we wouldn't recommend that she lives with a cat. We would prefer to rehome her to an adult-only household.

Please contact Pauline on 07599 969 647 if you could give the Pippa the loving home she needs. If there is no answer, leave a message stating which dog you are interested in, and giving your name and phone number. Pauline will phone you back. We do not respond to emails about rehoming our animals.

Help feed animals in our care

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
