About Me

Breed: Goat
Colour: Ginger
Age: 6 Years (approx)
Ref: 208681

Mabel and Olive arrived at Millbrook at the start of June, after having their vaccinations and treatment for lice they are now ready to find their forever home.

Mabel is very chilled out and loves a good scratch, however she is the top dog and will always get more food - here at the centre we have been feeding them seperately so that Olive gets her fair share of food. Mabel has been learning to walk on a collar and lead which she has proven very good at!

Olive was slightly underweight when she arrived - we believe this is because Mabel had been eating her food! Now that they get their own food Olive has put on a good amount of weight. Olive is a very sassy goat - if she doesn't get her way straight away she won't hesitate to head butt you! She is also a bit of a nibbler and will try and eat your clothes and fingers. New owners will need to be experianced with goats that have a bit of attitude!

Both goats are easy to load, hoof trim and medicate - plus they are easy to persuade with food! They are super friendly girls and will come over to greet you in the morning (as well as demand to be fed!). These girls have lived with other goats before so may be able to join a herd of similar sized goats in their new home.

In their new home these girls will need a good size paddock with lots of enrichment (such as climbing frames, obstacles etc.) as well as a stable to get away from the elements. There should also be suitable hard standing around the stable to keep their feet dry in wet weather. They will need suitable fencing in their new paddock, which is both sturdy and tall enough to stop any escapes.
